Previous Experience:
Rod Schlencker began his career in Brisbane as an Articled Pupil to Authorised Surveyor, M.V. McLeary of Spring Hill, carrying out inner city surveys including detailed building setouts, suburban and rural subdivisions, Detail and Level Surveys, and engineering detailed surveys.
Following this, Rod worked as a Construction Surveyor for E.A. Watts Pty Ltd, setting out and supervising High Rise inner city construction works, and road and reservoir construction.
Moving to Rockhampton, he gained work with Garnet Lincoln & Assoc, where he carried out extensive Urban and Rural Cadastral Surveys, Detail and Level Surveys, Photo Control Surveys and Residential subdivisions including engineering surveys.
Rod spent a year in Mt Isa working for R.C. Todd & Assoc. as a Survey Technician, conducting extensive Mining Lease Boundary Surveys, Photo Control Surveys, Residential Subdivision, and Authority to Prospect Boundaries.
In 1973, Rod began Schlencker Surveying in Rockhampton, managing the practice with staff levels of up to 20 employees at different times to meet market demand. He continues as the driving force behind this business to this day.
